Love the wild places where there aren't too many people. Love the Essex marshes and the Suffolk fens, the Welsh mountains, the Isles of Scilly, Iceland,Crete and the coast. Love islands anywhere. Love wild flowers, butterflies and trees.

Passionate about the so-called "Dark Ages", particularly the Anglo-Saxons, Vikings and all things Arthurian. Did a lot of re-enactment, living history and combat. Now I just use a camera to photograph ancient places,geology and wildlife.

I believe in freedom of information and photo sharing. That is why I take photographs and why I joined Flickr. I am not interested in making money. Wildlife Trusts and charities can use my images for free - so can students for project work etc. I just like to know and will appreciate being asked. OK?
