Portrait of a little Shia

I don't only upload my best or professional work on flickr because it's a place where I still like to show pics of my cats or of a batch of muffins I've just baked. Since 2006 I've come a long way in my photography, making lots of new friends from all over the World. I have donated my work to many NGO's and hope there will be many more requests.

Apart from NGO publications, my work has been published in several magazines abroad, newspapers and appeared in blogs and websites of all kinds

I am based on the Island of Malta but have spent a lot of time in the Middle East, mainly Beirut, where I did a lot of photography and studied classic Arabic at Universite Saint Joseph and Lebanese dialect at CCF. Beirut was my second home from home for a long while. I photographed what I saw through my own eyes and was happy to have never believed the many misconceptions about the region. There is peace and joy in every place if you look for it.

Comments and constructive criticism on my photos are very welcome. Please do not use or publish my photos before you first ask for my permission.

"Other than the great photography she has, that puts me to a total shame of why the hell I'm uploading images, Robin has an exceptional capability of keeping up with everybody and pleasing them all!

Since my first updates on Flickr, she showed amazing support and I truly enjoy it. She's my Flickrarian Guardian! :D THANKS ROBIN!

YALLA! When I'll be back to Amman next year's summer, I DEMAND you come over! We'll hang around, and I'll act like a total tourist guide!"

"Robin, your pictures are great. Novice or not, your pictures of food make me hungry, your pictures of your art makes me wish I could paint, and of course your self-portaits remind me of my own sisters (are you sure you're not half Yemeni?) ;P

You should know that her "Peace" picture written out with candles is one of my top 3 pictures that I've ever seen on flickr. Not only are the tones fantastic, but the message is one that comes from her heart. She is a wonderful person, and her work speaks for her peaceful and loving nature :)"
