Every part of me aches to see beauty in every form of matter. It is my job to make the mundane seem interesting, as well as aesthetically pleasing (or "and to convey it in an aesthetically pleasing manner). To evoke a feeling with a single image is what drives me to continue in the field of photography. I first began photography at the age of 14, discovering and capturing the smallest things around me. Since then, I have realized that photography is what I want to do for the rest of my life. I’m currently attending Savannah College of Art in Design on scholarship, majoring in Photography. I believe I can and will take the art world by surprise, but for now I find myself going through constant artistic metamorphosis, preparing myself for the day when my passion and talents will come to light.

"Raychel is by far the best recreational photographer I've EVER met. But her photography skills multiplied by 1 billion isn't even a hairline comparison of how good a friend she is. Seriously, I've known her for a little more than a year now and even though we've for the most part talked via IM/phone, she's demonstrated a love for God and his creation that's so great!

So here's to you, Raychel. I swear as long as I live I'll never forget what an amazing friend you are."

"Her photos are inspiring and delightful as well. Her timeless beauty is reminiscent of Victorian fashion that transcends through the novel and her technique is fabulous.

"What do you say about someone with a ton of testimonials that hasn't already been said? Raychel is a stud when it comes to taking self portraits. She's unique in her choice of angles, and her ability to let the camera stare her down long enough to catch a glimpse of a person I have never met. I can't say that I know her, but from the story she tells, I feel like I should know her.

Outside of self portraits, she shows us the beauty of the simple things in life. Fruits, toys, fences, cheeks. Things you walk by, or glance at each day, but never recognize.

If I could say one thing about Raychel, it'd be that she has caught my attention. I don't know how, but she's got it, and I'll keep seeing things through her viewfinder as long as she allows.

"Raychel has a gift for portraiture (especially self portraiture) that leaves me both envious and amazed. Specifically, her use of color and focal depth stand out as particularly astute, and produce gorgeous, gorgeous images. I find myself waiting for good weather to go stomping around scrap yards and old buildings looking for photos, but then I fire up Flickr and see that Raychel has created a whole series of fantastic shots without leaving her kitchen ... and for that inspiration I'm most in awe."

"Some say that the eyes are the windows to your soul. If that is the case Raychel has been so kind as to invite us all in for a look around. Aside from a nice collection of eye close-ups, she has also amassed and interesting series of self-portraits, and candids of her and her pals. She also has included some very nice experimental work where she has played around with color, perspectives, and composition. But above all her work contains huge helpings of humor. When you look at her work, you cannot help but smile."

    Individuality -- Individuality -- Individuality
Add Raych to your contact list and every time you click "Home" you will see under "Photos from your contacts' a smiley face, the corner of an eye, a set of lips making a smile that could make the hardest person smile.

Raychel is an inspiration and leader on flickr, she shows us all we should feel comfortable with what we were born with.
Raychel was born with beauty and talent and for those of us lucky enough to stumble upon her pool we are richer for this experience."
