I was born and raised in Los Angeles, which is where I currently reside, and have also lived in Austin and New York City. Photography became an interest for me when I was 12 or 13 - starting with black and white of course - and continues to be one of the major focuses in my life.

This Flickr started out as a place for my latest work, which was mainly just anything that caught my eye day to day. These days I'm working on a major project about Rocky Horror Picture Show "shadow casts" (www.rhpsportraitproject.com), so if you see a lot of photos dealing with this subject, that's why! I have also been putting the selects from my editorial assignments up here, so there will be some of that, as well as the occasional set of party snap shots to share with friends.

I do still shoot film when it makes sense, but for anything that requires a lot of shooting I use digital. I still think film looks superior and digital will never be as evocative or dreamy...
