"Fresh and inviting portraits with a subtle abrasiveness. Malik's pieces are well executed, perfectly timed and addicting. As you look through his mix of portraits, self portraits and the world around him, you can tell he is driven by emotion and human interaction. Malik's settings, movement, space and light are all done with perfection and wisdom. It makes me want to sit with him over coffee and go through each image and story. You can wonder through Malik's world in his website."

Some work that i'm loving from other folks on flickr, presented in Galleries:
Images of BrothaLove
Masters of Manipulation

I like guys. So i take pictures of 'em. If i do a good job of it, all the better. I'm a graduate of the commercial photography program at The Creative Circus; it's the best thing i ever did for myself as a photographer.

I welcome all constructive criticism. I actually look forward to seeing how i can improve my art/skill/vocation/vision, so i appreciate the feedback. If you see something here that you love, wonderful. Please tell me so. If you see something that i could have improved, even better. Please tell me what you think i could have done differently.

One of the main reasons i joined this virtual community was for the opportunity to grow as a photographer. I thank you in advance if you can help me do that in any way.

My thanks to everyone who's dropped by to view my photostream. I hope you find something you like here.

    dave nitsche says:

"I'm a conceptual shooter. With that said I need to feel shots. I don't look for just pretty pictures or beautiful people in them, I need to feel emotion from the image. I ran across Malik's images about a year ago and he has constantly given me what I need to 'feel' an image. Anyone can shoot a great picture. Very, very few can make a great statement in a picture. He can.

His portfolio contains some of the most moving, provocative images I have seen. His portraits talk to me. I don't feel like I'm looking at a picture as much as I'm face to face with the subject. THAT'S what a good image is all about. It has nothing to do with technical proficiency (which he IS completely versed in), it has to do with emotion.

That's the name of the game. Emotion. Look at Malik's images and get ready to feel..."

"As I grow and mature as a photographer, it is artists like Malik Williams that teaches me to push the envelope and look for beauty where others will never see it, to bring it forward where others would hide it and to make you think where others are dumb.

Thank you Malik. Keep those images coming."

"I don't know him, but the only thing I'd like to say is I'd be very proud to meet such a photographer, who raised mens beauty at such a level!
Stunning picture and always the same simplicity, just to highlight curves, looks, muscles, skin and emotion...
Your work is relly great dude!

    Donald Andrew Agarrat says:

"Well, here we are, honey. I'm probably one of the lucky few up in here who can say they've seen your work blossom from its genesis so beautifully through every stage of growth into what it is today, a sumptuous mix of creamy light and bold color that unabashedly delivers sex at its root. It's a sexuality that's as pervasive as it is intimate and honest. The subjects of your portraits should be overwhelmed by it, but they are not; rather you allow them to use your vivacity to highlight their own. It's an exchange that you render so lovingly. I can't wait to see what you do next."

"I met Malik a few years ago at a Poetry Slam. He and Adodi Muse, an ensemble he performs with are off the chain!

I admire this broths's artist ability, and the work he does. I know several good photographers, but I've seen expression and passion in his work, like I've not seen in others.

I believe Malik to be very genuine, and a "What you see is what you get" kind of guy.

I salute his talent, and I await his next accomplishments.

Malik, you are a gem and you bring such life to your work.
