Well..... I'm an amateur. Never had one single photography class. That being said, I've always had an interesting way of seeing my world along with a good sense of spatial relations. I just love capturing the world around me when I have the chance to get out there and see it. I take lots of photos just to be sure I don't miss anything, but I also do make a focused attempt at composing really good pictures. After years of dorky vacation pictures I started noticing I had an eye which I wasn't using. In the last 6 or so years, I started putting more thought into my shots and taking more pictures of interesting subjects, rather than cliche' shots of my vacation companions. As I've honed my skills, I'm at the point where I'm dying to have a good camera and some lenses. I feel hindered by what I have now (A Nikon Lite-Touch Zoom 110s/QD)

Has 2.9x (38mm-110mm) Nikon Zoom lens with Autofocus and a built-in flash with five flash modes (including Red-Eye Reduction) and a wide shooting range from a remarkable 2.6 feet to infinity. Other highlights: a built-in Quartz Date function; standard self-timer and optional ML-L3 wireless remote control; Infinity Focus option etc.

It has served me well for 5 years but I'm ready to go digital. I need to zoom zoom and I want to capture my hummingbirds darnit!

In addition, I'd really love some photography classes. I don't know where I want to take it, in the future, but right now I feel like I'm trying to play a Beethoven violin concerto with a Sears Robuck fiddle.

Regarding Photoshop: I'm fairly proficient with, with 8 yrs exp., but for now, I'm just uploading "raw" pictures, with the exception of a little strategic cropping. Why? I don't know. I don't wear hardly any make up either. Simple? maybe. Lazy? maybe. Like to keep it real? probably.

I hope you all enjoy my little showing of photographs. I enjoy your comments and visiting your websites. Thank you for visiting mine. :)
