I'm a 24-year-old freelance photographer and student. I've been photographing seriously for about six years. I began by studying photography full-time in Kulturama in Stockholm, Sweden from 2004-5. I then began a degree in Biochemistry in Trinity College, Dublin, and edited Trinity News in 2008/9 leading a team of 40 producing a broadsheet and supplement every two weeks. Trinity News that year was named student newspaper of the year, and I, editor of the year. After thousands of hours and hundreds of assignments, I now work for clients such as f.ounders, the Dublin Web Summit, Trinity Foundation and Ashville Media, as well as being published in Wired UK, the Daily Telegraph, The Dubliner, The Irish Independent, The Irish Examiner, and U Magazine. Some of my work is also held in the 300-year old Trinity College Art Collection and can be hired by residents there. I'm working on a personal project at the moment to photograph ten of my friends once every ten years; more details are at the project's blog, 10 Friends. I review places to eat lunch in Dublin too.

I'm currently available for work. Send me an email: martin.mckenna@gmail.com
