I've had an interest in photography ever since my hands were wrapped around a Minolta Weathermatic-A. Okay, so it used 110 film, but at least I could pretend to be Jacques Cousteau!
I've gone through a few cameras since then, but I'm still learning. In 2009, I started a 365 day self portrait project to push myself a bit; to get creative, silly, serious, explore some ideas, and in the process get better at seeing the world around me. I made it through the project, didn't miss a day, and in the end decided to continue with a daily project.
This year I am embarking on a project to develop my vision without getting tied up in technical details. Hence my daily photo project will be done using a camera-phone only. It's a bit more random and unstructured compared to a selfie project, but just as fun and just as important in continuing with my aim of seeing the world around me more fully.
