I am a father to Jonas (5), Oda (3), Simon (1) and a husband to Ragna.
I love my family, God, nature and photo.

I bring my camera everywhere, and try not to go past a motive. It's my fourth year being an amateure photographer. I love it. My photos are mainly from my local area, where I love to go climbing/hiking, it's a good combination.(photo/hiking) Flickr is fun, it is a great inspiration source and a place to give encouragement and to get it! People are in different stages in their photo-taking and It's fun to see them grow! To be a photographer is to be in a life-long learninprosess, there`s allways a new challenge out there. No more boring moments! :D

"Geir makes me think of the book of "Job" chapter 28 about the miner who delves into the dark recesses of the earth and brings out jewels and gold and still keeps digging and never gets to the bottom, until he finds the fear of God which is the beginning of wisdom. Geir is on a voyage of discovery in so many ways and his photos reflect this! He delves deep and captures the heart of his native landscape and brings back so many treasures to show us, but he is also finding so much about himself and God and 'Life' in all its fulness and this gives an added dimension to his photos which makes them shine like no jewel ever would."
