VectraGraphics' photostream

I'm an Amateur Photographer using a Nikon D50 w/an 18- 70mm DX ED and 70- 300mm DX ED glass, a Kenko AF 1.5x tele and various ND, IR, etc. filters, presently. My next (replacement) cameras will likely be an F4S or F100 and the new 10MP Nikon D200, (w/the new 18- 200mm DZ VR zoom, etc.) The D50 is a great camera, but 6.1 MP simply isn't sufficient resolution for what I prefer to photograph. I also need a Bogen/Manfrotto or Gitzo tripod, and a panorama head....

Year one.... I learned: That although I did shoot several hundred "decent" quality photos, (w/o EVER! using my tripod, mind you) I predictably got perhaps 1/10 the GOOD+ pics I might well have otherwise, had? Year two: I'll learn Photoshop? HDR? Shoot some: Infrared, B/W, architecture, landscapes, oceanscapes, (stitched) panoramas, animals, people....

I'm most intrigued by all things natural (flora, fauna, even some humans....) as well as architectural and engineered designs, product and display design, art and craft captures, infrared and B/W, night exposures, HDR, basic Photoshop enhancements, etc. It's my intention to co- develop a photo forum within an affiliated portal website, to discuss common DSLR/SLR and related concerns, how- tos, relevant software, product releases, etc.

I'm a architecture, art, craft and design loving, creative- innovative thinker, who intends to (re)focus on making a living online, so I can (nearly?) free myself from the typical work constraints of daily commuting and dealing with people, all day.... I'm presently unattached, with many varied interests. I look forward to dialoging and sharing ideas, expertise and of course, captures (sometime soon?) and insights on Flickr, as forementioned....
