Hi there!

My name is Menno, I'm 32 years old, and I discovered Flickr in February 2007. I can only say that this has been a wonderful experience!! I've seen an incredible amount of your photo's and many of them are very beautiful and interesting, thanks for sharing! I hope you like some of mine too... :-)

I'm interested in photographing since 2004. This was also the year in witch I decided to buy my first digital SLR. This was a Canon EOS 300d. This DLR was delivered with á kitlens (18-55mm and 70-300mm). After a while I decided to buy a prime (50mm 1.8), because of the extra sharpness. I’m really addicted to this lens. In 2006 I replaced the 18-55mm kitlens for a Canon EFS 17-85mm lens. This was a good decision, because the sharpness of my pictures raises a lot. Last December I had a really nice present under the Christmas tree. This present was a Canon 40d. Special thanks to my wife! The difference between the 300d and 40d is really amazing. Before I had the 40d, 50% of my pictures had a good quality (sharp, exposure and white balance). Nowadays almost 90% of my pictures are the way I want them to be.

I'm still a beginner and I'm only glad if you tell me how I can improve my skills. I’m also searching for the right subject to shoot. I want to improve my skills on one kind of subject, but I like them all. Landscapes, people and architecture are one of my favorites. But also street photography is really attractive.

I live in the neighborhood of Utrecht , The Netherlands, but I like to travel and do usually visit a few countries each year.
