photos have become such a huge part of my inner happiness.

the most unlikely subjects can yield the most incredible images.

My father has always been an artist. My house was immersed in art of all kinds: painting, drawing, sculpture and photography. It seems I was inspired to want to take pictures, there is much evidence of that in boxes full of prints and negatives from my earlier years. It just never felt like anything other than documentation. The sense of art I wanted to imitate escaped me completely despite being surrounded by that influence.

When I first started to think about photos as ART that I could make, it started with an amazing and very simple realization:

ANYone can get out there and make art, post what they like and hear back from any NUMBER OF PEOPLE out there in the cybersphere to find out if they like it too.

It was a very exciting notion. Weeks of just browsing and absorbing the great images, so very many of so many different styles, right here in Flickr. I really started to form a concept of the kind of photography that motivated me to dare to take more than just pictures and make ART. That's how I started.

Now the REASON that made me LOOK, the source of the Flickr discovery, that's a whole other story. In fact, it's many, many wonderful stories made up of beautifully simple text and images -- the most unlikely images grouped together -- all borrowed from right HERE.

BTW, since then I have relocated to the same city where my father lives. We both LOVE Flickr and we go out on photo excursions together. = ]
