Opinionated but a good listener with an open mind. I've learned that life doesn't always go the way you write the play - you have to be ready to take the curves and take the curves and then the next curves. The curves never stop.

Never take good health for granted and don't eat fried food. If you're gonna drink - make it a margarita. Don't curse the Lord and never take His name in vain. Be thankful for your blessings. Never let the sun go down without saying thanks.

If you want to use my photos, I want to know. Please just send me a flickr mail and I'll almost always be flattered by the request. In some cases, you'll get a blanket approval for use. I have to trust you first.

PS: This shouldn't even need to be said, if you add me as a contact, please be assured that I'll return the courtesy if I find that your photostream is clean and that you have wonderful photos in your favorites. And, if you have added me as a contact and never commented on my photos, I'll not add you until or unless you have commented. Contacts become friends and a friendship isn't one-sided. However, contacts, if I find that I'm the only one commenting and giving faves, you will be removed from my contacts. Also, if I see that you tend to have lots of children or scantily clad men or women, I'm not interested and I'll block you because I don't want my grandchildren in your favorites. Just thought you might want to know beforehand.

Oh, and I'm not interested in politics. I'm not interested in worrying about the world events when I'm on flickr and I'd rather you weren't either. (This might have changed a bit - let's say I'm not terribly into politics but I'm developing an attitude about our government and what is in office - both sides. I've decided we'd do better to pick hardened criminals out of prison but mind you - only murderers, not thieves. We've got plenty of thieves in office now!)

When it gets difficult to do things the way you used to do them, just look for another way.
    Karen's photos and text are also a fascinating insight into her world, her family and life in Texas in particular.
