I have worked as a photojournalist for over forty years. I am presently a photo editor at The Philadelphia Inquirer where I have worked since 1982. Prior to that I worked at newspapers in Missouri and Florida. I got my start in photography as a US Army combat photographer in Vietnam. I've taught college photography over the years, traveled a bit on assignment , played a little tenor sax and, seen brutality, beauty and bullshit here and "over there." I am still trying, at the tender age of 68, to figure out how to act like an adult. I love making pictures and finding the extraordinary in the ordinary. Other than that, I live with my writer wife Susan in a log cabin on the outskirts of a small revolutionay war era New Jersey river town. We live with our cats Chewie and Boots, who are neither photographers or writers, but are very busy critics.

"Among PunctumBoy's photos, careful looking will reveal some marvelous pieces that exemplify masterful control of elements such as time, space, color, light, movement, and much more--occasionally, all at once, which is truly remarkable! Some memorable, and inspiring work here, from which one comes away enriched and delighted. Thank you for sharing your imaginative gifts and well-honed insights."
