Dshalock® Libertarian
Emperor of America's photostream
|
I am a computer programmer and have recently taken an interest in photography. A few years ago I got a little pocket sized digital camera (Cannon s200) which I had a lot of fun playing around with. Late last year I decided to take it a bit further and get into Digital SLR photography. Well now there is no turning back. I am addicted to looking for that "Perfect" photo.
Some of my photos are now for sale at:

Quotes I like:
Beseech you, sir, be merry; you have cause,
So have we all, of joy; for our escape
Is much beyond our loss. Our hint of woe
Is common; every day some sailor's wife,
The masters of some merchant and the merchant
Have just our theme of woe; but for the miracle,
I mean our preservation, few in millions
Can speak like us: then wisely, good sir, weigh
Our sorrow with our comfort.
William Shakespeare The Tempest

"At first I was afraid, I was petrified. And wouldn't you be if you thought he was some sort of gun toting conservative...then I realized he is a Libertarian, and it was all better.
Funny as can be, and loving the Twinkie, Dishy is a unique find on Flickr."8th December, 2009

"I cannot tell you the many reasons I love Fryboy so much. No , I cannot, the censors here won't let me. But lets just start with his wit, verbosity and cunning skill with a large camera. The rest is all NSFW."

"David, aka, Dshalock, aka Fryboy, aka the libertarian emporer (all hail!) is one of the finest individuals I've had the good fortune of meeting on flickr. His photography runs the gamut from self-portraits to nature and he has a fine eye for details. All hail!"

"David is another Flickrite that loves being a photographing madman. He stands out as a supreme blogger, jouster and troll maker. I had the extreme pleasure of meeting him and his cohorts in Las Vegas and I am restricted by Vegas credo to be quiet. However, good times were had by all!"

"Nevermind Ron Paul, here comes Dshalock the Libertarian Emperor! David is an excellent photographer with a great quirky sense of humor. I adore his self-portrait series because he took the time to explore capturing his moods and thoughts and at the end what the series meant to him, and not just how he looked on a given day. I could never be that brave with photos of myself. :) He also gets out and explores nature and takes great action shots, so always a pleasure to view his photostream!"

"From what I know of Dshalock, which is very little, he seems to be a thoroughly nice chap.
However, he has educated me about twinkies more than Liberty. Therefore I propose his name should be change to "the Twinkie Emperor". The End :o)."18th February, 2008

"My head is spinning with the singular honor it is to write a testimonial for this most celebrated, most iconoclastic and most dashing -- not to mention only-- newscaster of DMU. A man of principle, vision and purpose, who trudges through the annals of DMU, daring to cut through the fog of divisive bickering, the manic thread hijacking, and the BS of healthnut trolls to finally arrive at the hard-hitting, fundamental question:
"grape jelly, anyone?"
He is one fun, fascinating, festive, friendly, Floridian photographer."9th February, 2008

"Who does this Dshalock the L E think he is?
He just sashays onto my profile page and without so much as a 'by your leave', gives me a testimonial!
Hence, I put his name into 'GURGLE', my search engine, and found quite a few things out about him.
His real name is Dennis and he lives as a recluse in a log-cabin in Saskatchewan with a raccoon named Mr Simon Minstrel.
He used to work as a stunt-double for Bill Gates in the pilot episode of a now-scrapped sci-fi series 'Lost in Cyber-space'.
His Great, great Grandfather invented the clitoris.
Donald likes to take pictures of himself and birds.
A recently held survey of Flickr group, DMU members, revealed that 49% would like to sleep with Duane. This is, of course, WILDLY innaccurate. The figure is nearer 98%.
Having viewed Desmonds submission for the 2008 DMU calender, I can safely say that my bottom is perkier.
Finally, I would like to add that Dolores has NEVER visited my photo-stream and has certainly NEVER Faved any of my exemplary shots. And because of this I will definitely NEVER be giving HIM a testimonial..."15th January, 2008

He is the only other true (well was) member of that group who really has feelings! I have grown thru his Photos & poetry & love of just enjoying the gift of making others happy thru a gift he has. If I ever grow up? I want to be just like him! Kick ass Fry guy!!! Kudos.. your friend (I hopes) Paul.. =o))"

"Filton Brewery Products have had the pleasure of working with Emperor for over 5 years now. The service is first class and the Emperor engineers are polite, prompt & helpful. They have an excellent range of high quality products at reasonable prices and when we have had special requirements they have always pulled out all the stops to accommodate our requests. Our customers include major brewers and pub companies and it is imperative that we use a supplier who can meet our clients product & service expectations. Emperor regularly go the extra mile to achieve this. The Emperor team are always pleasant and extremely helpful. I would have no problem in recommending Emperor to anyone."

"I first met Dshalock in the Flossmoor Metra station outside of Chicago, but it turned out to not actually be him. Although he often crumples into a fetal position behind the lens at the mere thought of criticism, it can fairly be said of Dshalock's photographic work that it bears no resemblance whatsoever to Perry Como's early 70's Polaroids."

"I love fries. They are salty and sexy. I'm not supposed to have them as I am on the South Beach Diet. But I sneak them you see, because fries are my weakness.
And seriously, DS is such a quirky guy... I love his commentary and attitude which show through his shots. I have a great especial for anyone that does a photo a day...and whomever takes pictures of their body parts. I mean seriously."21st July, 2007

"Dshalock has long since given up his reign as the troll king of Flickr, and is now working on a plan to overthrow the world's governments and usher is an age of libertarian utopianism. In the meantime, he keeps busy by taking brilliant photos whilst sending most of his paychecks to Nikon in order to keep him well-equipped. Be easy on Dshalock, for he is cursed with being a Devil Rays fan."

"This young man deletes testimonials when he doesn't like them.
This is totally excusable simply because his intelligence far exceeds superlative circumscriptions. His drollery keeps me on my toes and thinking at all times.
His photo stream? Well, what can be said that hasn't already been said?
His taste for wine is exceptional, his taste in lenses is even better and he even has a soft side when necessary.
We can forgive him for being an apple user, as he's also attractive. I always thought that he looked like a bearded french-fry-guy, but he has proven to not be so."16th March, 2007
