  "This is the first testimonial I have ever written, and it is because Anideg's images are deeply effective on an unconscious level and so I feel compelled to share this effect in words.
  I find I remember Anideg's work...carry it with me in the back of my mind where it stays until something reminds me of one of her subjects. The colors and images of Ani's gorgeous triptychs will pop out when I notice similar compositions in my life. And her graceful montages encourage my own perspective into grace. I believe this is because much of Ani's work is essential and psychological, triggering a sense of commonality for me as a woman. Often I feel as if she has the key to unlock the complexity of the concept of the modern Western woman and this is very satisfying. Her iconographic images of vintage women often appear on backgrounds that transport the familiar signifier "female" to a more complex and more realistic place that is comforting in its embrace of reality.
  
  I don't know if Anideg has had gallery shows, but she certainly ought to be recognized in this way. In the meantime, however, we are lucky enough to have her images here on Flickr."
