According to How Rare Is Your Personality? my personality type is caring, peaceful, artistic, and calm. Only about 7% of all people have this personality, including 8% of all women and 6% of all men. To sum up - I am said to be : Introverted, Sensitive, Feeling, and Perceptive !

In reality, I am a rather life-worn UIsterman - British, yet proud to be Irish. My Norwegian wife and I live in Bangor, Northern Ireland. Since retiring, I have been able to spend more time with my friends, when not out with my camera, attempting to improve my picture-making skills. My life-long passion for photography was re-ignited by the advent of digital cameras. To me, photography is all about saying something new about the subject pictured. The viewer's mind should be engaged, and his eye enticed. Someday, I hope to achieve this !

I take pictures for my own satisfaction, and to let others see and hear what they think of my efforts : the more views and comments - critical, or not - the better ! I also love looking at other people's pictures, All my photographs are as they emerged from my camera. No Photoshop, HDR, etc. - only minor cosmetic manipulation and, sometimes, a touch of Picnik. I'm too old a dog to try and learn new tricks - or, maybe, just too lazy.

I am a Christian [ which, literally, means ' belonging to Christ ' ] - a follower of Jesus : this informs my choice of subject matter, and my care in portraying people with sensitivity and dignity. Please don't let that put you off : I'll not preach at you - except to quote Francis Schaeffer : " Man has a purpose : to be in a relationship with God .... when he forgets his purpose he forgets who he is and what life means. "
