First things first. I truly appreciate all you wonderful people who think my photostream is nice enough to accept me as a contact but after careful consideration I've decided that I can no longer accept any more offers for "Contact". It wasn't an easy decision because I've met so many wonderful people on Flickr but several months ago I set myself a limit of 40 contacts and I've reached my quota. My philosophy has always been to address as many of my contacts photos as possible and with so many constraints on my time I find it necessary to set this arbitrary limit.

I was born in 1952 in Toronto, Canada, a city and country I truly love. Married a lovely woman in 1972 and we've been going strong ever since. Have two great, wonderfully successful sons and three unbelievably sweet granddaughters, two of whom are twins. Life so far has been very kind to me, however, I take nothing for granted.

It seems as though my interest in art goes back to my early childhood. I remember as a small boy growing up in Toronto the paintings of the "Group of Seven" that adorned the walls in our classrooms and hallways at school. Little did I realize many of these were painted a few short hours from my home. The beautiful windswept shorelines of Georgian Bay and stunning vistas of Algonquin Park were precursors to my fascination with art and photography. I've always had great admiration for artists but none whatsoever for celebrities.

Thank you to anyone who views my pictures. I have no pretensions about my abilities. I'm just another guy who thinks taking pictures is a pleasant way to spend some quality time and enjoy the bounty life has to offer. I'm constantly amazed as I peruse Flickr how many people have that certain "Creative Vision" that seems innate. There is an abundance of true artists who call Flickr home and I'm enriched by your creativity. Thanks for sharing.

But enough about me. Get those shutters and sensors "Flickring". Go out and have some fun.
