Hmm... the "middle" is particularly lacking...

According to flickr, this is my most "interesting" shot. It is amongst my favorites because I knew I was hit with the photography bug when I stopped to take this shot. I haven't looked back since.
No School Left Behind

"Chasing Ansel" - I have seen the Ansel Adams photo of the Tetons hanging in offices, books, etc. and was always inspired to capture one of my own after moving to Idaho. The trees have grown in, but the sentiment is all the same.
Chasing Ansel

I just didn't want to give up that morning - hoping that the Tetons would appear at Schwabacher Landing. After arriving an hour before sunrise waiting amongst fellow photographers, I was intent on staying. One by one they all left. The Tetons never did appear, but the light was magical and I am glad I stayed.
The Waiting Game

Rain, stop me? No. I was determined to see the cherry blossoms after being so fortunate as to be in town for a business meeting during peak bloom. Thanks to Nikon for building such a sturdy body. It endured the rain and much more!
A walk in the clouds

Sometimes you have to take advantage of the scenery as you see it *even* if that means going into work later! I didn't have any meetings that morning...
Morning Light

After a spring storm, I decided to reward myself for a hard day's work. I took the long way home, and am sure glad I did!

What I consider to be my first successful attempt at HDR...

It's comforting to know that curiosity abounds and that world has much more to offer!
In Awe

While the magic hour can be rewarding, so can the "golden hour" - right after the sun comes up. Even though I got up for sunrise each morning, this was one of my favorite shots from my trip to the Tetons in 2010.
Golden Opportunity

For a while, I was against using flash because of the strong light. After learning more about it, flash can be your friend and bring out colors you never thought possible.
Divine Dahlia

How do you make a shot stand out? I had seen many Bay Bridge shots and didn't want to post "just another one" - so it was nice to have this blue hour shot with cloud movement and a ferry in the shot.

"I remember one of the first shots of Ida's I saw...these cute little owls right beside a busy road! She has a way of noticing things and also finding neat facts about the scenes she photographs. She has such great enthusiasm and joy with her photography, you can't help but be cheered when you see her shots. I am glad to have met Ida through Flickr...I'm just sad we weren't able to connect in person while I was still in the Bay area!"

"Idashum's photostream is top notch professional photography.
The camera has become second nature to her. Her photos are not only ascetically pleasing, but screams out "professional"! I am lucky enough to have stumbled across her photostream and I am still fortunate to enjoy her new photos...I can not wait for your next photo... :)
