La mayoría de estas fotos son una muestra de las plantas que cultivo. Son todas de desiertos o zonas áridas y desde niño me llamó la atención la variedad de formas y estrategias que han tenido que adoptar para sobrevivir en un medio tan hostil para cualquier ser vivo, pero más aún para una planta, ya que no puede desplazarse en busca de agua.
Hace no mucho descubrí que a través de la fotografía podría tratar de compartir la belleza que veo en ellas. Muchas están en grave peligro de extinción y son de gran dificultad en su cultivo, por lo que para mí es un reto tratar de sacarlas adelante y siempre que es posible lo hago a través de semillas.
Tanto en lo que se refiere a las fotos como a las plantas cualquier comentario, crítica o consejo es bienvenido, y pido disculpas si algún error pudiera haber.
Todas las fotos son públicas por lo que las podéis ver, descargar, o imprimir libremente, aunque siempre para un uso privado. Most ot these shots are a sample showing the plants I am cultivating. They are all from either the desert o arid areas. From my early childhood, not only the large variety of shapes these plants acquire, but also the strategies they adopt in order to survive in such hostile environment stroked me. Being really tough for any animal, it is even more challenging for living creatures that are not able to move searching for water.
Some time ago I realised that thanks to photography I could share the beauty I see in these plants. Unfortunately, most of them are in danger of extinction. That is why I am fully dedicated to cultivate them. The task is rather difficult and thus I am starting the process from the very beginning: the seeds.
All photographs are free to be watched, download or print, but just for private purposes. They have been uploaded at low resolution so if you are interested in high quality copies, please e-mail me at arid_area@hotmail.com or visti www.musicandpics.com
I hope that these photos are interesting for those of you more or less familiar with these weird plants and I would be delighted if I am able to show you other aspects of their charm. If only I could transfer you the beauty of life I see in them.
