  ralph is, for me, the living definition of romance. there is such a gentle, quiet sweetness present in all of his images. he lives the 'leave only footprints, take only photographs' method of memory preservation. what is most evident in his work is a deep respect for what he is witnessing, almost a reverence, and a sense of gratitude for that which he captures. he sees things with his eyes but more so with his heart. and his heart is beautiful.
