So, what to say. I am a slightly crazy geologist who loves taking photos and is obsessed with traveling. I mean really. If I am not on the road then I am thinking about it, reading about it or planning it. Luckily I get to travel to lots of conferences and workshops with my PhD (currently halfway there... making me a half-doc?).

I am originally from Australia but have migrated North to colder climes for love. Now I live in Sweden with the love of my life but I have to admit that a large portion of my heart is still back in the outback of oz.

My ultimate job would be as a travel writer (getting paid to do what I love... how awesome would that be?) but I am not sure if my writing is good enough. So in my freetime I am practicing a lot and maybe when I am a doctor I can give it a real go. I'm posting lots of my travel stories to my blog www.withsparkles.com if you want to stop on by.

I have always liked taking photos and looking at other peoples. But the sad thing is that a lot of people don't really enjoy looking at other people's pictures. So I have huge amounts of travel photos that nobody has ever looked at except me. That is why flickr is so awesome. Because it brings together a huge group of people who actually do want to look at each others photos. So I am uploading all all my old ones slowly (along with new ones as I take them).
