Yes, I'm the Adam Lawrence that went to SUNY-Purchase '86-'90.

(No, I'm not the character in the movie 'Perfect')

I really like to take pictures.

I also really like welding.

an anagram of my name is 'camera an weld'..... coincidence, or fate?

My photos are All Rights Reserved.
This is as much to protect the rights of the Artists' whose work I sometimes document as well as my own rights.

That being said, please Flickrmail me to discuss any use that you might be interested in, all and all I'm a pretty agreeable guy.
(unless you steal from me, especially for commercial work)

updated to say, if you are working on books for major publishing houses and can't even offer up a complimentary copy of said books, please don't be surprised if i find that a bit insulting.

I am very proud to have been included in the graffiti archeology greatness that is

I'm also incredibly pleased to be providing pictures to www.thiszinewillchangeyourlife.blogspot.com/
founded by my lifelong friend, the author Ben Tanzer

and let's hear it for don goede, ron english and rip-off press.
they used a few of my photos for 'Abraham Obama: A Guerilla Tour Through Art and Politics' and were classy enough to send me 2 copies.

I've been known to "hide" links to cool & or free music in my descriptions or comments, so don't let that pass you that by. (update: that being said, i barely do this lately, so don't go crazy hunting)

About my icon picture:
This image was taken by John Dominis for Time & Life Pictures at the 1968 Summer Olympic Games (held in October) in Mexico City.
It depicts the famous protest US sprinters Tommie Smith and John Carlos staged during the medal ceremony for the 200m race as members of the Olympic Project for Human Rights (OPHR).
Also standing in solidarity is Austrailian sprinter Peter Norman, who passed away in 2006, r.i.p.

"Where others might just see a shadow, a number on a door or a sloppy paint job, Adam finds true art. Plus he welds! And he's great for movie tips! What more could we ask from the master of the "widescreen mode"?"

    Reid Harris Cooper says:

"Lawrence not is only a great welder and chronicler of streetart, shadows and what catches his eye. He also shares the distinct honor of going to school with noted graphic novel artist Dean Haspiel. The welding though, is seriously some special stuff."
