I'm an artist who has used my skills in a variety of ways. I've renovated houses, illustrated for newspapers, taught art classes, designed graphics and was once a printer. I now have a website and company called PaintyPots to share my personal style of decorative painting that's NOT faux finishing, NOT Tuscan anything but is a good alternative to wallpaper with the custom pattern technique. Or artwork directly painted on surfaces if it's local to my Westchester, NY area or onto material rolled and shipped to be hung like wallpaper. I also do pet portraits along with my daughter who runs PaintyPETs! She sets up the commissions through www.paintypets.com. I live with my husband, a newspaper copy editor, and our pug dog. We've been living in Pelham, NY for 10 years since relocating from my home state of CA. I take photographs to inspire my artwork and to hold onto images and share what it is that I notice.
