Thanks for visiting my profile.

I have had a keen interest in the visual arts from an early age and have spent many hours devoted to life drawing and landscape painting, and first learnt photography on a Pentax SLR in the 70's,

I enjoy mixing it up and trying a bit of everything as I meander along the path of aesthetic satisfaction, looking for those elusive combinations of photons, and hoping I can mash the buttons and dials to record something interesting.

I drive a boat when I'm not taking photos and am available for yacht photography assignments anywhere in Australia.

I'm using (and loving) a Canon 5D mark II and various Canon lenses:

100 mm f 2.8 macro
45mm Tilt Shift
70-200 f2.8L IS USM
85mm f1.2 L

plus a Sigma 8mm f3.5 fisheye for virtual tours

I have learned so much from the other flickr members and am constantly amazed by the creativity to be seen there.

I enjoy receiving compliments as much as anyone however I find that I learn the most from constructive criticism, so if you've got something to say - go for it, I won't be offended.
