Fotografo professionista, Filmaker, Musicista, con un particolare interesse per l’architettura, l’ingegneria aeronautica, la musica e il cinema, ha collaborato soprattutto con Alessandro Piva, Sergio Rubini.
Artista visionario ed eclettico, si distingue per originalità di pensiero e passione per la propria ricerca.
La sperimentazione e l'insanabile rifiuto degli schemi sono alla base della propria creatività.
Ha fondato la Zoomotion Sounds & Pictures Factory, struttura aperta all’integrazione e contaminazione di ogni possibile linguaggio visivo e sonoro.
La sua ricerca nasce da una speciale attenzione all’oggetto banale, alla percezione del quotidiano che diventa visione e quasi allucinazione attraverso due dimensioni che Nicola avverte fortemente: quella che lui stesso chiama il “mentre”, il luogo del non tempo e quella della luce, vera scrittura della forma.
La musica, i suoni, le vibrazioni sonore si fondono nel mondo dell’artista con le immagini come in un paesaggio pittorico in cui ogni pennellata assume il suo significato;
nell’insieme e nelle creazioni dell’artista si percepisce fortemente questa fusione, la musica si sente anche in una fotografia o le visioni si materializzano nell’ascolto delle sue produzioni sonore e musicali.
L’assenza di retorica nei suoi lavori si traduce in una visione del mondo autentica e personale, che riesce a restituire, nella forma dell’opera d’ingegno, la capacità di emozionarsi e di stupirsi.

Ha firmato importanti collaborazioni per le Colonne Sonore di importanti progetti cinematografici:
La Capagira e Mio Cognato di Alessandro Piva, Giorni di Laura Muscardin.
La Capagira è stata premiata al Valencia Movie Festival 2000 per la migliore colonna sonora.
Mio Cognato è stato candidato ai Nastri D’Argento 2003 per la migliore colonna sonora.
Ha diretto il mixaggio della colonna sonora del film L'Anima Gemella di Sergio Rubini.

Queste esperienze gli hanno permesso di approfondire la grande passione per la fotografia di reportage e di iniziare un nuovo gioco nel cinema con la Cinematografia, avendo avuto la possibilità di confrontarsi con importanti Direttori della Fotografia. Nel 2009 ha cofirmato la Direzione della Fotografia e parte della Colonna Sonora del docufilm Kalif di cui è coautore del Soggetto e della Sceneggiatura; Kalif è vincitore del progetto Memoria della Apulia Film Commission ed è stato presentato all’edizione del Bif&st, Bari International Film&TV Festival del 2010. Nel 2009 è vincitore assoluto nell’ambito Ritratti del Premio Fotografico 2009 e conquista il secondo posto nella sezione “Mezzi di trasporto” dello stesso premio nazionale. Nicola Cipriani nasce il primo Luglio del 1970, vive e lavora tra Bari e l’altrove.

Professional photographer, filmaker, a musician particularly interested in architecture,
aeronautical engineering, music and cinema, Nicola Cipriani has mainly worked
with Alessandro Piva and Sergio Rubini.
Visionary and eclectic photographer, filmaker and musician, he distinguishes himself by thought originality and his passion for research. Experimentation and the incurable refusing to schemes are at the basis of his own creativity
He has founded Zoomotion Sounds & Pictures Factory, an organization opened to the integration
and contamination of every possible visual and audio language.
The diptychs you can see in the exhibition were born from the special attention given to common things,
to the perception of everyday life becoming vision and nearly hallucination through two dimensions
that Nicola feels deeply: the one himself calls the "while" ( the place of "non-time", he says)
and the light, real writing of shapes, according to the photographer.
Music, sounds, sonorous vibrations melt with images in the artist world, like in a pictorial landscape in which every brush-stroke assumes its meaning; in the artist creations this melting is strongly perceived, music is heard also in a photo or visions are materialized in the listening of his sonorous and musical productions. The lack of rhetoric in his works translates itself in a true and personal vision of the world, which can give back, in the shape of the work of the intellect, the ability to upset and astonish.

He has contributed to important movie soundtracks such as:
La Capagira and Mio Cognato by Alessandro Piva, Giorni by Laura Muscardin.
The movie La Capagira has been awarded at the Valencia Movie Festival 2000 for the best soundtrack.
The movie Mio Cognato has been nominated to Nastri D’Argento 2003 for the best soundtrack.
He has directed the mixing of L'Anima Gemella by Sergio Rubini soundtrack.

Thanks to these works, he could deepen into its great passion for reportage photography and begin a new game in the movie world with film-making, having the possibility to confront with important directors of photografy. In 2009, he has codirected the Photography and a part of the docufilm Kalif soundtrack for which he is coauthor of the Story and Screenplay; Kalif is the winner of the Memoria della Apulia Film Commission project and has been presented to Bif&st, Bari International Film&TV Festival in 2010. In 2009 he has been the only winner of Premio Fotografico 2009 in Portrait category and he has gained the second position in the category “Mezzi di trasporto” (means of transporting) in the same national award.
Nicola Cipriani was borne on July the 1st 1970, and he lives and works between Bari and anywhere.
