Every moment, so precious it might be, will sooner or later go by. Sometimes not even memory can keep it alive once it is gone. But I think there are moments that deserve to be remembered, that deserve to be shared and preserved. So that they never truly pass, but rather keep alive in the hearts of those who remember and relive what once was reality, but now has become a memory framed forever by a picture.

(James McBride)

"Photography is an art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place... it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them." (Elliott Erwitt)

"Make visible, what without you, might perhaps never have been seen." (Robert Bresson)

"To the complaint, 'There are no people in these photographs,' I respond, 'There are always two people: the photographer and the viewer." (Ansel Adams)

"Photography is the preservation of the world." (Eliot Porter)

"Photography is the beauty of life, captured." (Tara Chisholm)

"A photograph can be an instant of life captured for eternity that will never cease looking back at you." (Brigitte Bardot)

"Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual." (Edward Weston)

"Knowing a great deal about what is in the world through photographic images, people are frequently disappointed, surprised, unmoved when the see the real thing. For photographic images tend to subtract feeling from something we experience at first hand and the feelings they do arouse are, largely, not those we have in real life. Often something disturbs us more in photographed form than it does when we actually experience it." (Susan Sontag)

"I didn't choose photography. Photography chose me." (Gerardo Suter)

(Robert Capa)
