m•o•m is a partnership between me, Bethany, and my mother Teresina. We make things from really great stuff in our workshop+store in the SoCal beach town of Encinitas (you should stop by some time).

our website (which at this time really isn't a website. we're working on it, i promise):
42ndandorange

we have a blog (how unique of us):
thanks and m•o•m says, "stand up straight."

nerdy clothes for cool kids

Why 42nd and Orange? My grandmothers home was at the corner of 42nd St. and Orange Ave. in San Diego -pretty good huh?

In today’s eco and socially conscience society m•o•m takes a stand. Ecologically, we do as we have always done - use vintage fabrics and notions and don’t waste a thing! However, our greatest contribution to society is that we promise to never produce a rhinestone encrusted t-shirt proclaiming DIVA or Princess in Training. We feel strongly that kids should be kids and their clothing should be age appropriate and fun.

m•o•m believes in family, hanging out in the kitchen, vinyl records, dark chocolate, cowboys, laughter and being nice. We do this because we can’t help themselves.

Giving Thanks:
First and foremost we must thank Nanny for her “make-do” spirit; secondly for her apron booth at the O.L.S.H. church bazaar where it all began. Tere would like to thank her ex-husband for continuously pointing out her flaws, because it’s the flaws that make life interesting. Bethany would like to thank her student loan officers at Art Center for their continued patience while she strives to figure it all out. Together we would like to thank Coco Chanel, Roy Rogers, Flogging Molly, The Derailers and most importantly, our hairdressers.

Thanks for your time and m•o•m says, “Stand up straight.”
