"Probably the stupdiest plot twist of all time has to do with Superman: Nobody, but nobody, can tell that Clark Kent is really Superman and the only single thing that is different between the two is a single pair of glasses.
But then along comes JJ and suddenly that notion starts to make sense. She's got these glasses that any comic-book artist would kill to have invented. We don't know the origins of these glasses, whether they were made from a material that fell to the earth from outer space, but we want to imagine some kind of mythology of how the glasses and JJ found each other.
