I was diagnosed with type 1 in 1978 at the tender age of 7. Try telling a 7 year old she can't eat candy! I'm halfway to old now and we have a beautiful daughter. Pregnancy was really rough on me. In fact she was born with only 1 kidney! My blood-sugar was out of control when I got pregnant,(she was a surprize!), and I was even under-weight. I have since then filled out some. I try my best to keep my BS in check so I can be healthy for her. If that isn't an incentive I don't know what is!
