5/4/10 Diagnosed with inoperable stage 4 non-small-cell lung cancer. Metastasized to lymph nodes & spinal vertebra.

1 year survival rate without treatment: 20%.

1 year survival rate with treatment: 40%

11/10 Chemotherapy no longer effective. Will be receiving palliative care only.

I'M OVER18 - actually I've passed 18 three times - BORN 1951 - Libra

In no particular order, I am:

*Unreconstructed leftie (Emma Goldman died for your sins),

*Bright (it's a positive term for atheist that doesn't define in terms of the non-existent deity, but hardly anyone seems to be aware of it),

*Non-stereotypical gay man (pretty much exact opposite of all the Queer Eye guys - except for the Queer part),

*Have a degree in 20th Cent. British & American Lit (therefore have never held a decent job),

*Self-styled cineaste (film snob),

*Cruciverbalist (look it up).

I might also be called Urban Almish, or Neo-Luddite. No cell phone, no mp3 player, no Tivo. Only have a computer, and on-line access, because someone who was upgrading gave me his old laptop.

6/18/10: A baby step into the 21st Century I do have a digital camera now - a 6 year old Nikon CoolPix 3100. A hand-me-down like the laptop, but a real camera none the less. Do not expect major artistic endeavors. And DO NOT expect major erotic endeavors. We'll see what we'll see.
