STATUS: Completely lost in MKE pictures. Started a 100 Strangers Project to better my social skills in the big city. Feeling slightly out of place as a Nikon guy in a Canon city.

Still To Do:
The third Wisconsin in August 2010, including strange Roadside Americana.
The North Shore of Minnesota in May 2010, and the geology expedition to Iowa in June 2010.
Hoping to upload 7500 or so photos from those three trips. :S

Also look for sets titled The Swine of Cadiz, Patton 101, and Faces of the Peay. Photo uploads all over the place!

Hit 100,000 views over my entire photostream 8/31/09.

Digital cameras:
Nikon D3000; Fujifilm FinePix 2800Zoom; Olympus FE-220 (still unrepaired)
Lenses:
18-55mm Nikkor VR lens
55-200mm Nikkor VR telephoto lens
52mm Wide angle lens attachment
Macro 1X, 2X, 4X, and 8X lens attachments
Other gear:
Old metal tripod, new DX-TRP60 Dynex tripod aka "Frank".
GorillaPod Hybrid aka "Monk"
52mm Flower lens hood (for 18-55)
52mm Bayonet lens hood (for 55-200)
52mm UV, Fluorescent, and Polarizer lens filters
ML-50 remote trigger (yet to test, where is that damn thing?)

Creativity level: Intermediate level DSLR photography, continuing exploration of manual features and settings. Trying to kill hot pixels.

About me: Geek. Geologist (in training). Wisconsinite, Formerly Tennessean. Star Wars fan. Wookieepedia co-founder. Southpaw. Unique.

Things to take note of:
1) I generally take crappy pictures of mundane things, (lots of cities, roads, signs, etc) and upload lots of them at a time, but every once in a blue moon create something spectacular. My stormtrooper series is starting to take off now.
2) My interests are incredibly varied as evident by my photosets and my groups.
3) Previously I didn't have a fancy DSLR but my inability to capture the perfect ISO setting did not discourage me from finding new ways to make the point-and-shoot a friendly companion. Now with my new weapons, it's gametime!
4) A friend once called me a "Flickr whore" but I found it hard to not take pictures of someone so beautiful.
5) I use a lot of alliteration.
6) I comment like a uncontrollable force, but don't worry, I'll usually exhaust your photostream within a day.
7. I am attempting to improve every day, but it's a slow go.
8. I occasionally upload bad shots (depends on the situation).
9. After EXPLORE's Top 500 is eliminated, how then will I pray to the Magic Donkey?

Notes to self - work on manual features, go over techniques and practice, limit On the Road shots (never seems to work)

Never underestimate the power of an image border.
