On the interwebnet I go by the name of Bunk3r, its a crap username but I'll stick with it.

Wel until recently l I lived and thus took many pictures in Kingston upon Hull , inevitably this also means lots of pictures of the Humber Bridge.

I got into taking photos through what gets nicknamed Urban Exploration (or UrbEx), (after seeing websites like 28DL). Urban Exploration has many definitions but to me its stepping out of what is normally seen everyday to see the things that many people miss and often will never get the chance to see! I guess I have an inquisitive mind, just as there are those that find peace up a large hill/ mountain, I find a similar peace in urban high places (I do also like to be up Hills and Mountains I just dont get the chance so much). Likewise there are those who explore caves, well there is a whole urban underground world which I also find fascinating, I plan to visit more of this during this year. In ‘exploring’ I have also come to appreciate the history and architecture of many places, often forgot by most others. I have a respect for the places I visit, I come and go without a trace, I might not think twice about climbing in but I never break in.

most of the pictures on my stream were with a point and shoot (TZ3), and that’s for the most part what my photos had been, just something to capture memories of the things I’ve seen. at the end of 2008 I realised I like the photography aspect, with a lack of manual controls on my camera, together with not been able to justify a DSLR I decided to pick up a Zenit 12XP from ebay for <£10 delivered. I’ve always liked old stuff and theres something magic to me about pressing the button on a film SLR and not getting the pictures till some time later, so now I have a number of film pictures on my stream. At the end of 2009 I purchased a Nikon D80 and hope to spend more time on photography this year.

Other areas of photography I seem to enjoy most are light painted shots and night shots, I think long exposures really bring something out in a photo.

Pictures are all obviously copyright to me, if you want a print or use or whatever just ask and we will work something out.

At the time of writing my 3 favourite pictures (the list is overdue redoing now, but you get the idea)
