Thank you for taking a look here. My real name is Jonne, what doesn’t stop me from just being a guy who likes to take pictures.

Flickr motivated me and inspired me since I started with photography and it still does. Flickr is probably my biggest inspiration source! Thanks to you guys! I hope I’m able to inspire other people just as they inspired me.

Me on Flickr:
On Flickr you can find most of my pictures, only for models you can find more on my own website, that has been is build with the less is more principle. In some way you can say Flickr is my photography blog.

When you want to comment my pictures, you’re more than welcome (who doesn't like comments?). I’d like to grow in photography, something you can never stop doing. This means I’d love to have useful feedback as well, when you think something can be done better or a little different, when you have question marks when seeing a picture, just say it.

Please note, if you comment my pictures please use no big shiny group things and so. I don’t delete them but don’t really like them. They take away the attention.

You can add me as a contact, when I don’t add you this doesn’t mean I don’t like you or that I don’t like you or your pictures. Flickr is for me about 2 things, the social part and for inspiration. When I have too many contacts I'm not able any more to be social, and there is so much inspiration for me out there!

My little history on photography:

I started with photography, in a more serious way than I did, in May 2008. I bought my first camera (Fujifilm S9600) and in June 2008 I started, without realizing what I did, with a project 365 days (of self-portraits). This project was the beginning of now. I grew so much during this project and I got so much motivation by other Flickr members that I am what I am now.

In April 2009 I bought a second hand Nikon D80 body and a 18 – 105 MM objective (and sold my old camera) this is my first dSLR camera what gave me lot’s of new opportunities. I still find new featres everyday, because photography is so much technique, and I'm interested in this when I want to achieve a specific result. For the rest I'm not interested in the technical part.

Photography is about seeing things and not just clicking, besides that, I've learned you really need to have some specific social skills (don't be afraid to exit the comfort zone).
The importance of technique is, is something I found out after my project 365, most self-portraits on my computer (simple laptop) looked pretty good, but on every other computer the colours where out of proportion, so in the summer of 2009 I started to think different (I bought a MAC), what was a great step forewords. But not when¡ it comes to editing. Until February 2010 I used Picnik (integrated in Flickr) to edit my pictures, it’s great and easy to use but not good enough when you want to take yourself to a serious level… you just loose too much quallity because it's web based. Since then I'm using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and sometimes Photoshop (for layers).
I don’t have the most advanced stuff, simply because I think you should know your camera for 300% before saying that the camera isn’t good enough for you any more. Besides that, I'm not a rich man (yet).

In May 2010 I got accepted at the Fotoacademie in Amsterdam, what is one of the best photography universities in The Netherlands, of course my technical skills where not good enough so in September 2010 I did a quick, intense course on editing and the techniques of the camera.

Something that keeps me going are projects. I started with a project 365 days, here is an overview of other projects:
2008 – 2009: Project 365 self-portraits
2009 – 2010: 100 strangers project
2009 – 2010: 52 weeks (of me)

This is how something that always fascinated me became a hobby, how a hobby became a passion and how this passion hopefully becomes my profession. One thing is for sure, I'm going to be a workaholic for sure.

When you have questions or just want to motivate me, don’t hesitate....

"Jonne really got an eye for photography. Where he finds those amazing locations for his pictures is still a mystery to me. His pictures always seem to tell a story on their own.
I love his portraits but his architecture and transport sets are great as well - and I usually don't even like pictures of buildings and trains :) -

All and all a very creative a excellent photographer and now that I've met him: a very likeable guy also."

"This is the first testimonial I have written, and it comes so because I find Jonne's work fascinating. I am always looking forward to new uploads, and much anticipated creativity, coming from his photostream. His work is raw and passionate, and his alias screams his passion for flickr and photography in general. I can't seem to get through his stream fast enough, and I am always waiting for the next addition of his 365 project. Your talent is quickly expanding, keep up the good work!"

This is one photostream I would highly recommend to anyone at anytime! It is a fantastic 365 project of himself and tells alot about him. He has a great talent, an excellent eye and there is only one thing he is really not: "Just a guy"."
