I work at the Monterey Bay Aquarium in California. I try to get out whale watching at least once a month, and I go bird/wildlife watching almost every weekend. Wildlife photography is a new hobby, started in 2003. I was going to South Africa with a group from the aquarium in the fall of that year, and I couldn't see going without a camera, or with just disposable ones. Thank goodness for the digital age!
