I'm definitely an amateur photographer, but I'm trying to become better at it. I've loved photography forever and have been annoying friends and family with my camera for decades!! :-D

In March of 2007 I bought my first dSLR - a Canon XTi and in July of 2008 I got a 40D. Eventually I would like to get a 5D mkII, but for now that is out of reach.

I love, love, love to travel
- 21 days in Greece in July/August 2011, Athens, Ios, Mykonos, Delphi, Vergina, Grevena, Kozani, Thessaloniki
- spent 18 days in Scotland in September 2008 with my mom
- spent 25 days in Greece in June 2007 and it was incredible!!
-I also went to gorgeous Aruba for a week in December 2007 for a friend's wedding.

Update 9/12/2007 - I think I'm becoming addicted to flickr! It's the first thing I check in the morning and usually the last before I go to sleep. Eek!! But what a great community of people who love photography!!

Update 12/28/2007 - Okay, I guess I should come clean about my secret (or probably not so secret) desire to rescue all of the homeless and unloved cats and dogs! I hate that people throw away their pets when they get sick of them, it really, really bothers me....

I also grew up owning horses and a pony and being active in 4-H and eventually 3-day eventing! I miss my horses terribly, but know that at this point in my life I just don't have the time or the land to have one. Some day though! :o)

Update 07/09/2009 - Trying to learn more about lighting and the more technical aspects of photography, but it's a struggle! I'm so glad to have a great group of friends here on flickr to support my attempts at these things!! <3

Update 10/30/2009 - Sooo I've had a dry spell in photography creativity and motivation. One of the things I've recently started doing is paring down the number of groups I belong to (was up to 650+). I feel like I need to simplify both my life and my flickr experience. Please don't take offense if I've removed myself from your group, it's nothing personal at all!
