Since I've almost always been a stay-at-home wife and
Mom, I am not a beginner at photographing my husband(of
41 years) - Mike, and sons - Michael(33) and Walter(31),
and our cat - Kitty.

After using three cameras till they worked no more, I got my
first digital camera in 2001. As my sons got older and my
husband decided to retire from work (in 2006) my interests
in what to photograph started to change. Now I love to
photograph nature and it's changes, and to find out the
common names and the scientific names of plants, trees,
flowers, shrubs, and insects that I find to photograph. This
new kind of photography has helped me slow down and
enjoy life more then I did years ago. I'm a happier person
now and it shows in all that I do. Hope you see it in the
photos that I take!

Having a Flickr account for the past year and joining groups
has helped me in my quest for what I want to know. Joining
Flickr and taking advantage of everything that I find out how
to use there, have been the greatest choices I've made in
recent years. It's also been great to get to know such
interesting people from all over the world!
