Nick Humphries

"The camera is an instrument that teaches people how to see without a camera."
— Dorthea Lange

I've been shooting (photos) off and on since about 2005. Back then, I started with a few basic to advanced point-and-shoot cameras, and have since upgraded to a DSLR.

The web (especially sites like Flickr) has helped me learn most of what I currently know about photography— along with constant practice and lots of experimentation. Inspiration helps too— which, in my case, includes nature, videos, music, design, minimalism, and other interesting photos.

So far, my favorite genres of photography include technology, nature, scenic, minimalistic, macro, and portrait.
