That said, there's little mention of my photography there, so I'll add a bit here.

I got my first digital camera way back in 1999/2000 sort of time, a Canon Powershot A20,



and while many of my friends saw it as a waste of money, it soon proved to be a sound investment, teaching me the basics of photography.

At the start of 2008, I upgraded to a pre-owned Nikon D50 and I love it very much.



I try to take it with me wherever I can and it's usually rocking out with the Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 lens.

I'm building this Flickr account as a portfolio, with the intention of making photography my career. I'm currently converting the spare bedroom in my flat into a studio of sorts.



I'm slowly getting some stuff "out there" as it were. So far I've been "published" ( is it still published if it's online only? ) here:
