Hey, Iam Mark.
I'm neither a professional writer, nor professional artist....
I don't live in Toronto (THANK GOD) or eat salmon every day (TOO BAD), or own a dogsled....well - my wife thinks we do!!
I don't know Tommy, Mary or Lucy from Canada, but I do know Carmen, James and Harry from Holland, the USA and England.

I have a Leica, not a Hoya.
I speak English, not American.
And I pronounce it 'Naikon', not 'Neekon'.

I can proudly sew my country's flag on my Photopack.
I believe in shooting PEOPLE, not SHOOTING people,
diversity, not assimilation,
and that the photoblogger is a truly proud and noble animal.
Rugby makes for great sports shots, GUINESS beer is truly a divine invention,
and B&W photography is art, not a trendy fancy for some wanna-be camera tourist , but TRUE ART!!!!

Canada is the second largest landmass!
The first nation of hockey!
and THE the best part of North America!!!

{though I love to hit a studio when the finances allow it - I truly just love to SHOOT. I believe that every picture taken - no matter how weird it may seem - has a story to tell and therefore is BEAUTIFUL!!!!! )

also - though it hasnt happen to me yet it has to some really good photographers on here: IF YOU DONT HAVE CONSTRUCTIVE CRITIZISM of a photo, DONT SAY ANYTHING! its is one thing to critique a shot - another to thrash and ridicule someone's art!}



Places i have visited since i was 4 weeks old (my dad was a travel fanatic - G-D rest his soul!)




Current equipment:

Leica R4S (my baby)
Nikon D70s
Asahi Pentax KM
various lenses from 28-70 to 70-300 to 170-500mm to a brand new 80-400 VR (my other baby) and a 500mm with a 2x teleconverter. I also own a fish-eye to attach to the others if I wanna go all fenzy schmenzy!


ALL MY PICTURES are MINE, i.e: I took them, which means if you want to USE them, I want to get paid - handsomely!!!! (or at least ASK me first!!)

ANY pic i DIDNT take is appropriately credited!
(I didnt take any of my Wedding Pix but I guess that is a given, right? I mean I WAS the groom afterall!)

IF someone decides to use a pic and NOT PAY - I WILL find you - I WILL repo your house, car, wife, kids, dog, gold fish AND any camera equipment you may own!
