A~probabilistic says:
"He is honest. He shows you normative life through his positive photographs. I find his photography truly inspirational and idealistic. And without a doubt it is fun. You can learn as much as you can from Maghin and yet return to learn more on another day. Perhaps that is what Maghin Magic is all about!
It is not just the magic but also the quality standards that he has set are exceptionally high. It would be worth roaming around those standards one day :-)
I have drawn immense inspiration from his photography and no doubt learnt as much as I could.
But like I said, the best part of Maghin is the fun underlined in this whole process...! keep 'em comin' :-)"31st March, 2010

"Maghin has an unsurpassable ability to capture common people from all over the world. I admire his keen and unconventional eye, and his very humble attitude towards his motifs."

"Maghin is a true artist. His images are some of the most sensitive and ego-free i've ever seen. He gives his subjects (animate and inanimate) room to breathe, and lets them speak for themselves. Yet all his photographs are infused with his distinct Maghin-ness. They are far more than just streetshots or candids. They are pieces of real life poetry."

"Maghin has been my Flickr friend for about a year and a half and I am always pleased when I see a new posting from him. He is not a prolific "image poster" - he seems to be very selective about what he shares and who he shares it with. I would describe his images as real and unpretentious and he consistently manages to portray his subjects with warmth and empathy. He is a traveler who documents things just the way he sees them.....no frills, just truth. What you see is what you get - and you'll like what you see!"

"an honest photographer.
this is not a descriptor that often comes to mind when thinking of artists. maghin's photographs are certainly sensually beautiful and technically proficient, whether film or digital. but what stands out is his ability to draw a straight empathic line between him and his subjects, while avoiding sentimentality or cheap drama.
his images are to be savored. to do so is to acquire a taste that grows with repeated viewing."23rd November, 2008

"Like others, I'm in constant admiration of the work that Mr. Maghin produces. His frequent travels alone are something to be jealous of. His ability to capture moments on film without any manipulation blows my mind. While I probably don't comment as often as I should I'm always out there admiring. Beautiful work, Maghin."

jasfitz says:
"Maghin is a rare breed. Unlike many of us, he doesn't try to escape through photography – he instead delves deeply into reality and celebrates it in a most wonderfully genuine fashion. I treasure his shots of people most, as he sees something in individuals, and then makes it brighter… he finds their truth and captures their essence. I feel fortunate to benefit from his view on the world… it truly opens my eyes."

"Maghin's images are a wonderful travelogue of people, places, and moments.. they have a soulful quality to them that transcends mere photography. He has a way of immersing the viewer in his experience, and can breathe life to anything that he sees through his lens.
Maghin is a wonderful and thoughtful member of this community. I enjoy conversations with him over our photographs, and always find his insights valuable. I am proud to call him a friend."29th January, 2008

Lesley A Jones says:
"Maghin does something with his photography that I could never do in a million years. He has a talent for forming an instant rapport with people and that shows in his wonderful images. Through his eyes you get to see the real person, natural and unposed. It's a wonderful gift!"
