Attention update march 31th 2008: for several reasons I have reduced the number of publicly viewable photos of myself which now can be found in the new set Rupibear himself public pictures. All of the more that 300 pictures that show various aspects of my life can only be seen if you are in status of a friend, please check below what is my policy about that ! Thanks !

About me: happily partnered 42yo gay bear guy. I like music+theater (my profession), pc+internet, digital fotography, travelling (see where I've been on the map below), being at home with my boyfriend, cooking, skating, swimming+sauna, barefooting.

Many years ago I started my photo diary which grew to quite wide selection of pictures of my daily life, my trips and other activities. I took most of my photos shown here with my Canon G5 which I liked a lot and "she" already "survived" more than 20000 shots, unfortunately I lost it february 2008. Since then I use a Canon Powershot S5 IS which I is a very good camera, too. In addition I use a Fujifilm Finepix S5700.

If you ad me as a contact or friend I will do so as well if you have some fotos of yourself including a picture that shows your face, so I am sorry but I will not ad "only-photo-collectors" to my contacts.

By adding me as a friend please don't expect much more nudity that you can already see on the open photostream. There is no total frontal nudity and no porn and it makes no sense to ask for it, I will not put it on my flickr.com diary.

My diary shows what I am doing during my daily life, my trips, some glimpse at my work. There are almost no pictures of my boyfriend because for several professional and private reasons he does not want to be shown here (or anywhere else on the internet).

I am mostly interested in showing nicely taken photos (not only of myself). During the last few month I have meet some very nice people here on flickr.com with similar interests, I hope this will continue !

Just a few more words about my barefooting since there have been a couple of questions about that lately. There are sereval reasons for me to do it: fun - have you ever tried it ? health - natural walking on different surfaces benefits and trains the muscles of the feet as well as of the back if you do it right - less colds, no stinky feet, no stinky socks, no stinky shoes, working against deformed feet (hallux valgus); "free your feet and your mind will follow"; means also to improve your selfsecurity by walking barefoot in public without caring about much what people think of it; a little fetish and exhibitionism as well - I admit - but as an artist I think I can "afford" it :-)

For those who are curious about hygiene: there is soap and water existing to clean the feet and soles after coming home. And if you are insecure about getting an infection etc. by walking barefoot think about it if you touch anything with your hands in a public place (bus, toilet etc.), it's much easier to get "something" there than by stepping on it with your bare soles. And speaking of stepping on objects (glass, etc.), you simply have to look down on the earth and be conscious where you are going ...! But of course as a barefooter you cannot be a hygiene fanatic, you don't need to love being dirty but you shouldn't mind....

I have been doing that a lot during the last few years, and I don't do it with a dogma. I do own shoes of course, but mostly open shoes, sandals etc. as you can see on my fotos. I decide on my mood, on the situation and the people I am with if I wear them or not; and Berlin f.e. is a very good place to be totally barefoot ...
