A Western Colorado photographer that specializes in glamour, fashion and art nudes This will include work that isn't available here.

My grandfather gave me my love of pin-up art. In my photos, I try to recreate the same sexiness and playfulness that I saw hanging in his work shed as a young boy.

If you would like to model for me, please let me know. A photographer is only as good as his last model. Also, my models work for free in exchange for pictures and the kind encouragement of my Flickr friends. If you like my and my models work, please leave comments and tell them so.

NEW POLICY: No leaving creepy/derogatory/sexual posts on my work about my models. Luckily most of you millions and millions of flickites are good, decent people but there are the occasional few that decide to leave comments that only make themselves look like asshats that need adult supervision at all times. Instant ban is my only remedy, but I'll wield that whiffle bat like a warhammer.

New Policy: I no longer add people to my friends list anymore, unless I'm impressed by their work. A long time ago, Flickr restricted my work to my friends, because my work had neeners, pee-pees, poh-pohs and nay-nays in them - something that would warp children, offend the righteous and ultimately bring us socialized healthcare and forced gay marriage.

This sort of thing put the filtering onus on the photographer and if I wanted a large amount of people to see my work (and honestly, I do this stuff so my work can be enjoyed) I had to manually add a large amount of people. By hand.
Pretty soon, the number of friends that I've added has grown to the several thousands and the amount of time I got to look at the peoples work who I enjoyed and respected had dropped to zero. So, you're not getting a friending from me just because you added me, but hey, you're not missing anything anymore.

Thankfully, as of a year ago or so, they took that restriction off and allowed people to see my work - as long as they jumped through a great number of hoops to do so (unless you want to add it to most groups, or share the pics to others or include it on a blog, but I digress). So, here it is - the instructions on how to see my work without having to kill a fatted calf and say "Yahoo!" backwards three times:

1) Sign up for Flickr first.

2) Go to the "You" button at the top (it's between "Home" and and click it. Then scroll down and select "Your Profile"

3) Select the tab that says "Privacy and Permissions" and then scroll ALLLLLL the way to the bottom and click "edit" next to Safe Search. Then turn the damned thing off.

Now suddenly, you can see all my work in it's society crumbling glory. That smell you just got a whiff of? That's freedom. You're welcome.

"There is no doubt that Michael brings a refreshing view to the taking of nudes. He brings both glamour and art together in a way that few others have done.

As a photographer I hold Micheal in the highest regard.

But he is also a good friend and generous in his help and advice. I have learned an huge amount thanks to him and owe a fantastic debt."

"I agree with DigitalFemme that Michael's a wonderful photographer of femininity! He's almost a femme for his non-"Playboy" approach to the look of a girl quietly exploring herself. (I know how that sounds, but I'm really NOT into porno...)

I generally enjoy Flickr for the women photogs who seize the opportunity of a digital mirror in which to see themselves as extraordinary sensual beings. And I get permission from some of them to post shots on my little blog (livejournal.com/users/devifemme) and chat a bit about them.

But, back to Michael, he uniquely captures that same thing in many of his shots -- without intruding masculinity into the exercise! His Cowgirl Malibu shots, for example, make me hope the cute blonde KNOWS other girls are enjoying her moments among the hay bales.

    Hey, Mikie, you go, girl!"

"Michael blows me away by his creativity with compostion, color, use of models and whatever else is available to him. I've always been drawn to his photos and I just had to take the time to tell him so. Absolutely awestricken is what I am. I also love the simplicity he gives to detail if you can even understand what I mean by that.
How does he find the time? This truly is such a passion of his and it shows in the way Michael photographs his subjects.
Very well thought out and designed.
Michael makes my MIND have VISION!
    Thank you!"

"Michael's drive and passion for photography will inspire any photographer to reach deeper into themselves and find that fire for art even if they think that the fire is gone.

He also looks at people with eyes that no one else uses, sees things in a person that no one else can see...even the person that he is photographing. Beauty may be skin deep but Michael sees what's inside and captures that with his photography.

Thank you Michael for your inspiration, encouragement and passion for art!"

"It's just a matter of time for Mike, when he'll be making his living doing this (though he may be reminded more often of his strong dislike for Paris Hilton). What separates the men from the boys in any endeavor is passion. Mike has enough to fuel thousands of sets.

I check his work daily. To think that he only started this hobby of his this year (2005) is evidence of a youth spent watching, looking, learning, and calculating. 2005 is the year when the "time was right".

He's a great pen pal to me and an inspiration.

Bravo to you Mike. Please keep it up!!

"My first and most favored photographer. He helped me see what I did not.

What started as a fun project... turned into, well.. much more!

Mike is incredibly dedicated and driven in his talent- and fantastic to work with. He's open minded, patient, adventurous. I feel that he's just touched the tip of the iceberg- there is much, much more to come from Fantastic Media Labs."
