Mother of two, Grandmother of SIX, Mother-in-law of two, and cousin of an amazing world-wide network! Family is what is most important in my life. Next in importance are exploring the skin of this earth we live on and visual exploration. Luckily, geography is in my favor, since I live near the Colorado Plateau. I've loved taking pictures ever since I took a little square black-and-white snapshot of a yucca in the mist in the foothills of Southern California more than 50 years ago. My Dad had a little camera he called Polyphemus, and he got me a little box Brownie. My older daughter is now a dedicated and gifted photographer who encouraged me (read "forced me"!) to join Flickr -- and I'm loving it!

For me, the definition of a passion in life is something one gets lost in -- to the exclusion of what's happening in the immediate vicinity and the loss of any sense of time. This is what photographic images do for me.
