I'm 40 years old and a nature enthusiast although my knowledge of the subject is really quite poor but slowly improving.

I am a Sound Engineer by trade and run my own small AV company.
I'm based in London, and because of limited time, my exploits in the natural world are pretty much confined to my back garden which thankfully is quite large. (For London that is), and visits to the London Wetland Centre and Kew Gardens.
I love collecting images of different species and it's a real thrill getting an image of something I haven't seen or photographed before.

You'd be surprised how captivating the project has become for me and I now get really excited if I see a Beetle, etc that I haven't seen before.
It's amazing how easily amused I am.

I would like to thank all of the people on Flickr who have given me encouragement and also provided me with correct ID's for countless images.

I use a Nikon D80, Kenko tubes and a Sigma 150mm for my macro shots.
I am really enjoying my photography although I still have an awful lot to learn.
I am now trying to take better pictures rather than just record shots, every now and again I get it right!
All my pics are taken hand held as I don't own a tripod.
