Hello!

I am padraig. I am 44 and I live in Nottinghamshire - between Nottingham and Newark. I am a primary teacher in south Nottinghamshire.

I am from Clogher, in Tyrone, Northern Ireland. I have lived in Leeds and in the Lake District.

I have lived in Nottinghamshire since 1996/7ish.

I like being outside. I find my time outside to be enthralling (and calming!) and restorative and I think that my photography of landscapes is an attempt to share this relationship - between me and outside - with the people who are not me.

I judge one of my landscape photographs to be successful if I think it documents *my* emotional / spiritual / intellectual / aesthetic presence in a place at a time. Therefore, I am not documenting a place at a time and I do not consider that there is a relevant photographic truth that can be sinned against by the processing and manipulation I use to make the images you see here.

I use Lightroom and Photoshop.
