Thanks to SA Skydiving and Skydive Club Kilkenny for using my photos properly.

There are too many operations using my skydive photos without permission for their commercial operations. I've had to tighten up the allowable use settings.




An American living happily in Australia.

Once upon a time (in Detroit), I sat in a small cubicle solving small problems for a big company. Monday mornings I'd drive to a cold building, sit at a curved desk, and chew at the projects on my plate. Far across the room was a window. Sometimes I would walk over and look up at the sky.

After work I went straight to the dropzone and jumped until dark, worked on gear, or talked with my friends about jumping and gear.

This happened every day until Friday when I stayed until Sunday night, starting over on Monday morning.

Finally, I was able to make a living from skydiving and enjoy all the moments of my life. Now, where could I go that had good weather all year long? Australia!

In September 2001 I was in the final stages of my plan to move to Australia and live the good life. But when America was attacked, I wondered what I should do.

In the days after 9/11, President Bush made a statement that we can best beat the enemy by continuing to live our lives, with courage.

The USA and Australia are both great countries with brave leaders doing the best they can. I support the decisions they have made. Enough of my politics.

I hope you enjoy the photographs. The macro images reveal a world beyond my understanding. The skydiving shots are from the world in which I live.
