All the images are as I see them through the view finder - they are all shot in Raw, and are adjusted in PS to their original levels. I do not like to manipulate (other than dust), over post process the images, as I believe that if the image is not correct in camera then no amount of alteration will make the image better. If it is not correct first time - a computer can only change the image not recapture it.

Please leave critiques of the images/photographs - I am trying to improve my art, so please be as honest and open as possible.

No image is perfect and especially not mine but I wish them to be - eventually.

I shoot with
Cameras EOS 5Dmk2 - 7D - 40D and 30D (Underwater Camera)
Lenses: EFS 10-22 USM - EF 24-105 L IS USM - EF 70-200 f2.8 L IS USM - EF 100-400 L IS USM - EF 100 Macro - Canon EF 500mm f/4L IS USM

now have to get the photographer up to the quality of the equipment :)

"One of my best flickr buddies, Iain is clearly a wonderful nature and landscape photographer. It is neat to watch the growth in his photostream...and where his photostream leads you. Well traveled, intelligent, and thoughtful, Iain is not one to just hash an image together and post. No, Iain’s work is a study in details, experimentation, in some cases perfection, and always in quality. He and I share a unique relationship in a critical sense. We both seek each others critique. I trust his eye and ideas. The thing that I really enjoy about his work is that it is varied and not static. Iain is on the road. He is out there doing it. And the quality just keeps going up and up. More a purist than I, he gets things right in camera. That is where the details come in. Most of his images are naked, save for very minor adjustments. Thus, his work is an art that is true. If you want to see some exciting work, keep Iain’s stream front and center.

"Well I will be as honest I can-iain's work is beautiful. It is a tranquil world which i really enjoy considering my world is so chaotic.

The compositions are clearly well thought out and when shooting nature that is very difficult-I have looked at allot of nature photography over the years and of course its beautiful.

There is one big difference here with iain's work, he is also an exceptional thinker and writer. When I look at his work I know its not the typical snap up beauty shots!! there is allot of thought, time and energy put into these pics.

This is not some point and shoot kind of guy-thats what makes him superior to the average nature/wildlife photographer.

I look forward to more of his work-its like a great travel adventure, you never want to leave and you know you will be back!!!"
