Autumn at Lake Zoar

You can see them at the DEP Fall Foliage Photos web page, along with lots of other neat Connecticut Fall foliage photos.

I'm in the newspaper! The cover of the Greater Hartford iTowns section of the Hartford Courant has my photo "Sunset at Southford Falls" on the cover:

Sunset at Southford Falls

and yours truly on page 3:

Self Portrait

I might have taken a smiling self-portrait if I'd only known... :D Here's a link to the online edition with Sunset at Southford Falls.

I'm participating in the Bending Pixels photography exhibition to benefit the Greater Hartford Arts Council. It is Friday, October 24th from 7pm till whenever. It should be great fun, and everyone is invited!

Well it's not New York Magazine, but I got a photo linked from the Connecticut Museum Quest site. It's not of anything at the Museum, but linked at the bottom of the article as "Cool picture at the actual Meigs Point":

"Richard's photography is absolutely stunning! His eye for detail is incredible, as are his macros. Check out his dragonfly photos, as they are amongst the best I have seen! Richard is a valuable member of the CT Flickr Meetup group and has been very helpful in promoting the group to others. He is a lot of fun during our group shoots as well, and I'm glad to know him in person!"

"Richard is a brillant photographer.! He especially enjoys his macro captures of dragon and damsel flies, flowers, and lots of interesting and unusual subjects. He also likes to photograph Sammy his cat and friend.
I find it so interesting that we can be shooting photos at the same place and same time and come away with very different shots from that outing!
He is really enjoying digital photography as a hobby now. It may prove to be more in the future!"
