I'm from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan but moved to Salt Lake City, Utah in October of 2006.

Since I was a little girl, I've flipped through the pages of National Geographic, awe-stricken by the beautiful world in which we live. I want to see the world with my own eyes as so many have.

I've never had a photography class. I've never had any sort of lesson. I just barely acquired my own little digital camera, and it's the only one I've ever owned aside from an old 35mm and a current old school Polaroid! A few months before I moved to Utah, I started going on walks and jogs back home in the beautiful forests of the Upper Peninsula and being refreshed of all the beauty around me. On my lunch breaks I started skipping meals and running home to sneak my father's digital camera [Canon PowerShot G2] and drive to some of those places and take some pictures for fun. All of the other photos I've taken have been on 35mm, including the select Europe/Mexico photos I have on here.

I don't feel I've captured anything outstanding, but what I see in person with my naked eye is most definitely beautiful. I hope to get inspiration and learn from all of the wonderful photographers on this site!
